Hi, I’m Sophie.

My passion is in creating realistic and surrealistic art pieces, that create a sense of wonder. My works are inspired by outer space and nature.

I love capturing the boldness of galaxies and the intricate details of celestial bodies, with the intention of accentuating the beauty of the cosmos. I also like to incorporate the theme of consciousness and past dreams into some of my works. I enjoy painting in acrylic paints and have worked with oil paints in the past.

In earlier life, I was dedicated to pursuing my love of physics, astronomy and science. I graduated in 2023 with my bachelors degree in Physics with Astrophysics, at the University of York. I loved studying the stars, observing them with optical and solar telescopes.

Despite my dedicated pursuits, I had to overcome many hurdles to get to where I am now. After my graduation, I found myself in the need of a break. When I was studying my bachelors degree, it took priority over my art at the time, so I decided to reunite with my love of art again.

Being able to create paintings of space in my studio, is my sanctuary and is what keeps me feeling grounded.
